We have several opportunities for you to volunteer with us. You can welcome attendees and facilitate the conversation at an existing event as an in person or virtual table host or you can request your own table event.

Become a Table Host
Table Hosts are key to creating an atmosphere of sincere welcome, embodying The Big Table's focus on person-to-person connection whether we are in person or meeting virtually. A Table Host volunteers at Big Table events to facilitate meaningful conversations and storytelling at the tables.

We have two types of Table Hosts:
In-Person Table Host: Facilitates meaningful conversations during in-person Big Table events (typically made up of eight participants). Additionally, they would help seat participants and ensure tables are made up of familiar and unfamiliar faces.

Virtual Table Hosts will welcome participants to the virtual collaboration platform, lead introductions and explain how it works, and manage break outs of larger groups into smaller virtual tables.
Request a Table Event
Building connections and creating spaces for people to connect shouldn't be limited to a single event each year. If you have an idea for your own event we can help you make it happen. These events can be held anytime and anywhere (virtual OR in-person!) to help build connections across our differences.
